Q. What kind of honeymoon packages do you
offer?
A. You may combine any of our services to make up your
honeymoon package. However we usually recommend 4 or
5 star accommodations. It is also advisable to combine
accommodation on the island of Malta and Gozo to get
the full experience of the islands.
Q. Can you help me organise my wedding ceremony
and reception?
A. Getting married in Malta can be a great experience.
Whether a Maltese emigrant living of the islands or
of any other Nationality it is possible to organise
your wedding in Malta. We will assist you with the organisation
of your wedding ceremony, transport needs, entertainment,
dinner or reception. If you are up for it we may also
recommend you something really different like getting
married in the Medieval city of Mdina in costume taking
you back in the 1500.
Q. What do I have to do to get married in Malta?
A. The following documents together with the Application
and Sworn Declarations (Forms RZ1 & RZ2 to be obtained
from the Marriage Registry) must be sent to the Registry
Office earlier than 6 weeks, and not more than 3 months,
before the marriage:
(a) Full Birth Certificates (i.e. including parent’s
names)
(b) 2 Statuary declarations from both sides stating
that neither of the couple are married.
This has to be in the form of a Free Status Certificate
issued by that person’s local Registrar. If such
a certificate is not provided by any particular country’s
law, a sworn statement to the same effect I is to be
provided by a member of one’s family, a family
doctor, a solicitor, etc.
(c) If one of the partners has already been married
the following is required:
· a certificate of the death of the previous
spouse,
· Or divorce documents (absolute and final).
Before applying such persons should clarify with the
Marriage Registrar whether Maltese law recognizes the
particular divorce.
If documents are all in order and sent at least six
weeks in advance, it is only necessary to be in Malta
for one day. |
