The Osborne Hotel is a renovated 16th century building that was originally built as a hostel, or inn, for the Knights of Malta housed in nearby Auberges, their main building. Notwithstanding our location at the heart of the historical capital city of Valletta, the hotel is in a quiet area that is yet only a couple of minutes walk away from the center. It is only natural, therefore, that when you walk into this hotel, you feel you have taken a step back into the old world charm that is typical of the city of Valletta.
The hotel has fifty-four bedrooms that are evenly distributed among the five accommodation floors starting from the first floor. Corridors are wide and spacious for maximum comfort and privacy, and the floors are served by two lifts. All rooms have been furnished with modern amenities for maximum comfort, including air-conditioning, television, and telephones. All rooms have en suite bathrooms that include baths or showers (some have both), toilet facilities and hair dryers.
Some of the rooms also enjoy breathtaking views from the one side, all the way up to Mdina, and from the other, spectacular contrast scenery of the Valletta peninsula and the entrance to the summer harbour of Marsamxetto , but due to heavy demand by our return visitors, early booking and specified requests are recommended to avoid disappointment.
At the bar a full range of drinks, teas and coffees are served, always in a relaxed atmosphere
On the ground floor there is the restaurant and the bar. The restaurant serves a sumptuous buffet breakfast, including fresh fruit, fresh dairy products and cooked items. In the evenings the restaurant serve a buffet spread that offers a choice varying from cooked local specialties to carvery and cold cuts. The restaurant also serves lunch.
The lounge area includes bar service. The atmosphere here is warm and relaxed with a television at one end, and an area ideal for reading at the other.
Newspapers are made available to our clients on a daily basis.
Outside, we have a sundeck furnished with deck chairs, tables and umbrellas. For those who get too hot in the sun, a quick dip into the splash pool and Jacuzzi will soon cool them off. Up here, one can enjoy breathtaking views from the one side, all the way up to Mdina, and from the other, spectacular contrast scenery of the Valletta peninsula and the entrance to the summer harbour of Marsamxetto.
On the sixth floor, the top floor, there are two large halls that are ideal for conferences and meetings.
During the Christmas, New Years and Easter, compulsory festive season supplements apply on half board and full baord rates
