This unique, charming hotel with its 18th century castle is located on the northern side of the island and is set in a protected environment in a splendid 3-hectare garden. It has magnificent views of St Paul’s Bay and the Maltese islands.
The hotel is approximately 1.5 km from the beaches, and a free shuttle service between the hotel and the beach is available from from May to September. The picturesque village of Mellieha is also just 3km from the hotel. A free shuttle service between the hotel and Mellieha town centre is available.
The hotel has a number of facilities, including 2 swimming pools. The outdoor freshwater pool has a separate children’s pool, as well as offering sunloungers, mattresses, parasols and beach towels. An indoor heated freshwater pool is available, also offering sunloungers, mattresses, and beach towels. In the fitness centre, one finds the sauna, jacuzzi and gym, while in the sports grounds, guests have an excellent choice of 2 tennis hard courts, a volleyball pitch, archery, table tennis, a French bowls pitch, a games area, and a reading room with board games.
The hotel's 148 rooms are set on two floors and are reached by two elevators situated in the hotel lobby. There are 10 suites within the hotel, and a further 6 suites inside the castle. A total of 64 rooms have spectacular seaviews, while 73 overlook the pool, and 11 overlook the gardens. In the castle, 3 of the suites have seaviews while the remaining 3 overlook the gardens and far-reaching country views.
All the rooms have a balcony. The twin rooms are approximately 26 m², with individual air conditioning and heating, ceiling fan, telephone, satellite television, minibar and hairdryer. A safe is available in the room for a very moderate fee. Children’s beds or a cot (up to 4 years) can be easily placed in the room, while the bathroom has a laundry line
